Wandering Through Monet's Masterpiece
Church was enjoyable with translation headsets. Adrienne looked great in her Paris bike skirt thanks to Rebecca. The elder that was translating had a nice clean British accent. I leaned over to Adrienne and said, "He sounds like he's from Kent". After the meeting, I went to meet him and asked where he was from. You can guess his answer! We visited for a while with him and Kenny. It was fun to hear Kenny's thoughts about the race. It's been incredible to see how well so many of our BYU runners have performed here. Jared won the Marathon Pour Tout yesterday. It was a marathon for anyone to do. He went 2:24 and nobody was anywhere near him at the end. Just a solid long run for him. Fifteen minutes off his best time.
After church, we went with Jen, her son, Anna, Scotty, and his wife to Giverny for the Monet Gardens. It's where Claude Monet lived with his 10 children and wife. A lot of his painting were done in his gardens.
We got a bit lost and missed the first train getting there, but it all worked out and we had a great time.
The rest of the day was gone! We're off to bed now and an early morning run before going to the Louvre.
